God Will Never Give You More Than You Can Handle

1 Corinthians 10:13(KJV)

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

This is an often-misquoted verse. Not only is it taken out of context, but it’s also always split in half, the second half rarely being taught. This is where people get the notion that “God will never give you more than you can handle”. The verse does not say that. It says, “but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape”.

You will receive more than you can handle, but there will always be a way to escape the situation you’re in. Maybe there’s a financially beneficial door God opens that will get you out of your debt. It’s up to you to go through the doors God opens for you.

I’ve seen countless people refusing every bit of help offered to them, then claim God hates them and that no one will help them. Don’t slam the open doors shut then blame God for your situation. A modern saying that works great here is don’t burn your bridges then complain about the island.
