Pre-Trib Rapture

1 Thessalonians 4:17(KJV)

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Rapture is one of the most dismissed aspects of the Bible. Simply because the word “Rapture” is not in there. But it’s clearly described, like in the above verse. Those who believe in the Rapture are often torn between whether it will be before the Tribulation (Pre-Trib), during the Tribulation (Mid-Trib), or after the Tribulation (Post-Trib). I believe in Pre-Trib, and here is why.

It all comes down to understanding the personality of God. Because He clearly has a personality. If you look at the Bible in context, you’ll find that Pre-Trib only makes sense.

Genesis 6:12-14(KJV)

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

Did God destroy the world, then rescue those who were faithful to Him? No, He saved the faithful before the Flood. Likewise, He didn't wait for it to start raining, then tell Noah, "Yeah, you should probably build an ark".

Genesis 19:29(KJV)

29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

When God destroyed Sodom, He made sure Lot and his family escaped first. He didn't wait until after the city was destroyed. Nor did He wait until He started destroying the city and say, "Yeah, you should probably run. Also, don't look back, because pillar of salt and all of that".

Joshua 6:23-25(KJV)

23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel. 24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord. 25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father’s household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Rahab and her family was spared from the destruction of Jericho because she helped the Israelites.

So, following this line of thinking, seeing a clear sign of God’s personality to get those faithful to Him out before things get very bad, it’s logical to see that it is going to be a Pre-Trib Rapture. Also there’s this verse, which tells us it will be.

Revelation 3:10(KJV)

10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
